MailGate Support Issues Q. Can I move my MailGate installation from one machine to another? A. This is possible with the backup and restore feature available in version 3.3+. Backup and restore your settings The MailGate backup file contains all settings including your license key.
If you wish to backup the contents of any mailboxes, you'll need to copy the contents of the "C:\Program Files\Mailgate\mailbox" directory to the same directory on the other machine. If you've made any custom proxy scripts then you'll need to copy the contents of the "C:\Program Files\Mailgate\Scripts" directory to the same directory on the other machine. If you use any MailGate extensions, such as Mail Manager, List Server and/or Spam Filter, go to "C:\Program Files\Mailgate" and copy the contents of their directories ("mailmgr", "list" and "spamfltr", respectively) to the new machine. ![]() |
