MailGate Support Issues

Q. Why does the Spam Filter always mark 'Oversized' messages as spam?
A. When using the Spam Filter Extension, if you have MailGate's Large POP Collection feature activated, any system mails notifying of large messages are sent with a 'To' address of "Oversized email recipient".

If you're using the rule "Spam if To and Cc address is not found in 'Local Users'", this rule will detect the e-mail as being spam.

To overcome this problem, you'll need to add "*oversized" (without quotes) to the 'Local Users' list on the Patterns tab.
